Outright Hydraulics got a phone call over a weekend for a fair ground ride breakdown. The ride just didn't have the power to move without a push to get it going. They had called multiple hydraulic companies but all said it was out of their remit. Outright however was here to help. The only condition being it had to be running by the next Friday.
The case leakage on both motors where check and was found to be very high with the other not far behind.
Both motors were without name plates. With our years of experiance it was determinated one was a Staffa HMB010 and the other a Obsolete HTL.
Finding 2 replacement motors within a less than a week was going to be a challenge. We used our extensive supplier network and tracked down 3 ready to ship. Also got told these were the last 3 complete motors due to them being obsoloeted.
Once delivered the customer installed them under Outright's guidence. We also instructed them to change all filter elements and check oil cleanliness levels before hydraulics were switched on.
On the Friday both motors had been fitted and piped up. Outright Hydraulics came to witness the inital testing.
This video shows the initial test of the motors on the ride. Both motors drive one wheels which then contacts the main runners which spin the ride. This can spin up to 10 RPM with 50 riders.
One running ride and one very happy customer.
